Now that Deflategate is finally over, Tom Brady is ready to put another thing to rest: rumors of a rift between him and his wife, supermodel Gisele Bündchen.
The New England Patriots quarterback gave an interview to WEEI Boston’s sports talker Dennis and Callahan Show Tuesday morning about his “tough, challenging seven months,” and, in addition to a whole lotta football, he answered the looming question about tabloid reports that his marriage is on the outs.
“We’re in a great place, I’ll just say that. I’m a lucky man,” he said. “There’s no bigger supporter that I have than her, and vice versa. … I don’t think anything will ever get in the way of that.”
Over the holiday weekend, Gisele shared an intimate family moment we’ve come to expect from her page.
“and my heart melts,” she wrote of the image of Brady and their bikini-clad daughter, 2-year-old Vivian, kicking a soccer ball around in the grass. “#biggestlove #family,” she tagged the pic, along with three red hearts.
Gisele was photographed showing further support for her husband by visiting Gillette Stadium’s TB12 Sports Therapy Center in Foxboro, Massachusetts, shortly after a judge overturned Brady’s suspension last week. Less than two weeks ago, the couple, who have been married more than six years, was plagued with an onslaught of headlines about their “marriage under fire” and “in trouble.”
Let’s all say it together: Phew!
